From
the Editor
We have coverd a lot of ground, or should I say water?, already in our first
three issues at WDM, with shipwrecks from all over the world and subscribers in
23 countries. In this issue we have added first-time contributors to WDM
inclusing the " Father of Eas Cost U.S. diving", Michael de Camp and
Richie Kohler co-host of the History's Channel popular Deep Sea Detective's show
and subject of the newly released book Shadow Divers (see book review in ssue 2
of WDM) with the first magazine article ever about the newly discoverd U-215. In
our next issue, among other things, we will be expanding on the story of the
Civil War Submarine, CSS Hunley in an interview with Dr. Robert Neyland, Head of
the Underwater Archeology Branch of the Navel Historical Venter and Hunley
project manager, along with a personal account of finding the Hunley and being
the first to dive on her from Harry Pecorelli III, Staf Underwater Archeologist
fot the Hunley project.
A
bif thank you to our repeat contributors for provind exciting articles and
manintaining the high standerds of WDM.
I
hope you enjoy this issue as much as I did, as we continue to uncover tha past.
